Amendment 1 to Work Order No. 10 for Masteller & Moler, Inc., <br />North County Water and Sewer Project Phase 2 —Additional Design Services <br />Background: <br />Indian River County Department of Utility Services (IRCDUS) is preparing to move into the construction phase <br />of the North County Phase 2 Water and Sewer project. Staff is seeking additional design services related to <br />the customer -side water and sewer lines, which were not previously included for the project. Staff <br />proposes to amend Work Order 10 for Masteller & Moler, Inc. (MM) to include the additional work. <br />Analysis: <br />On May 18, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approved the renewal and Amendment No. <br />1 to the Continuing Contract Agreement for Professional Services with MM. In accordance with that <br />agreement, MM, which provided design, permitting, and bidding services to the project for lines that are <br />to be installed in the County right-of-way. The subject agenda deals specifically with professional services <br />to investigate and design the customer -side water and sewer service lines as described in Amendment 1 <br />to Work Order #10, attached. <br />The BCC approved Work Order No. 10 with MM on May 18, 2021 for the amount of $184,545.00. This <br />Amendment No. 1 will increase Work Order No. 10 by $159,885.00 to a total of $344,430.00. <br />Funding: <br />There are various funding sources for this project. Staff has secured cost share grants from Saint Johns <br />River Water Management District (SJRWMD) and the Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program <br />(IRLNEP) as well as a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Water. Quality Restoration <br />grant.
