I have been alerted to this <br />issue by the National Association of Securities and Commercial Law Attorneys (NASCAT). Enclosed <br />are some materials they prepared. <br />1 strongly encourage you to immediately follow up with NASCAT. The perspective of county <br />officials is critically needed on Capitol Hill and our input could be very influential.I've enclosed <br />NASCAT's response form, which includes their 800 number (1-800-757-8851) and suggestions for <br />further action. The most critical need is for you to write or, even better, visit your U.S. Senators and <br />ask them to oppose S. 240. <br />1 also encourage you to have your county commission adopt a resolution in opposition to S. <br />240. I have enclosed Escambia County's resolution, which you may fmd a useful model. <br />Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. <br />fSincerely, <br />Willie J.
