The <br />following alternatives are presented: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Advertise for Professional Civil Engineering, Architectural, and related <br />services for the above 16 projects. Since there are numerous <br />projects, two or three consultants to perform the park design and <br />four or five consultants to perform the road projects are suggested. <br />To manage the consultants, an additional staff engineer should be <br />hired. Salary funding shall be distributed to the various projects <br />based upon a percentage cost factor. Anticipated cost, including <br />benefits, is $70,000/year. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Delay some of the above projects until existing staff can manage the <br />projects. Since road capacity demands and grant deadlines are <br />critical, this alternative will result in lost grant funds and denying <br />some development projects. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends Alternative # 1.
