Board of Commissioners SWDD Meeting Minutes - Final <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Rate Adiustment Letter from Atlas Organics Indian River LLC <br />There was no discussion regarding this item. <br />August 17, 2021 <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman O'Bryan, seconded by Commissioner <br />Earman, to approve staffs recommendation. The motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />Aye: 4 - Commissioner Moss, Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, and <br />Commissioner Earman <br />Excused: 1 - Commissioner Adams <br />15.B.8. 21-0774 Approval of FY 2022 CPI Adjustment Request by Waste Management for <br />Franchise Agreement <br />Recommended Action: Solid Waste Disposal District staff recommends that the Board approve the <br />request for a 3.00% rate adjustment by Waste Management, Inc. of Florida, and <br />authorize the County Administrator or his designee to send a letter of approval <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Rate Adjustment Letter from Waste Management <br />Debbie Perez, Government Affairs Manager, Waste Management, appeared <br />before the Board to address residents' complaints regarding delayed pick-ups. <br />Ms. Perez described the staffing challenges the company has faced, and listed <br />the incentives Waste Management implemented to attract additional drivers. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Earman, seconded by Vice Chairman <br />O'Bryan, to approve staffs recommendation.
