BROWN, COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />21-0665 <br />Attachments: Budget -Message <br />County Administrator Jason Brown gave an overview of the Fiscal Year <br />(FY) 2021/2022 Budget, pointing out that this was the first post-COVID <br />budget and recalled the events at this time last year. Despite the loss of <br />revenue the County had experienced during the shutdown, he stated the <br />economy opened back up for business and the County experienced strong <br />results in tourist revenues. <br />Through the use of a PowerPoint Presentation, County Administrator <br />Brown announced the FY 2021/2022 proposed budget is $428,052,912, a <br />decrease of $56,043,112 from the FY 2020/2021 budget as of March 31, <br />2021 and an increase of $34,418,097 from the FY 2020/2021 beginning <br />budget of $393,634,815. He highlighted the major budget impacts to the <br />proposed budget, including a tax roll increase of 5.19% Countywide and <br />5.09% in the Unincorporated area of the County. <br />Indian River County Florida Page 1 <br />
