BOOK 95 PACE 789 <br />TO: - Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE: July 24, 1995 <br />SUBJECT: 1995/96 Proposed Millage Rates <br />FROM: Joseph Baird <br />OMB Director <br />The 1995/96 budget reductions presented to and approved by the Board on Tuesday, July 18, <br />1995 included a $100,000 reduction in the Sheriffs Law Enforcement budget. The Sheriff has <br />issued a letter stating the reduction will come from the Corrections budget. This changes the <br />millage rates for the General Fund and M.S.T.U.. The following are the proposed millages after <br />revisions due to the above change: <br />Millage Rates <br />Rolled -back <br />Revised <br />Difference <br />% Increase <br />General Fund <br />4.1264 <br />-4.2999 <br />0.1735 <br />4.20% <br />MSTU <br />1.5173 <br />1.6236 <br />0.1063 <br />7.01% <br />Emergency Services <br />2.0772 <br />2.3129 <br />0.2357 <br />11.35% <br />Aggregate <br />6.6539 <br />7.0816 <br />0.4277 <br />6.43% <br />Land Acquisition Bond <br />N/A <br />0:3069 <br />N/A <br />N/A <br />OMB Director Joe Baird reviewed the figures for the Board and <br />advised that the aggregate is the same, only the allocation has <br />been changed in that the MSTU has been increased and the general <br />fund has been decreased. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously approved <br />the proposed 1995-96 millage rates. <br />JULY 259 1995 16 <br />
