go <br />RESOLUTION <br />WnEREAS, the Sebastian Inlet, as the same is noir <br />located and constructed, exists in Rrevard County, Florida, at a <br />point approximately one and one-half miles North of the North Jird <br />of Indian River County, Florida; and, <br />WHEREAS, the said Inlet has been oonstructed at said <br />location subsequent to the establishing on the line between <br />Brevard and St. Lucie Counties, now Brevard and Indian River <br />Counties; and, <br />WHEREAS, there exists a narrow strip of land, all <br />unimproved, between the Indian River and the Ocean to the South of <br />said Sebastian Inlet which is now a part of Brevard County; and, <br />WHEREAS, Brevard County has no access to this narrow <br />strip of land; and, <br />WHEREAS, the road to said Sebastian Inlet through the <br />narrow strip of land above described is unimproved and practically <br />impassible; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida, desires to improve said road in order to <br />make the South side of said Sebastian Inlet accessible to the <br />general public; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Sebastian Inlet District which exists for <br />the construction and maintenance of this Inlet covers a part of <br />both Indian River and Brevard Counties; Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Indian River County, Florida, that this Board does respectfully <br />request the Hoard of County Commissioners of Brevard County, <br />Florida, to adopt a Resolution directed to the members of the <br />Legislature of the State of Florida from Brevard County requesting <br />said Legislators to secureti-spassage of an act redefining the <br />boundary line between Brovard and Indian River Counties, Florida, <br />between the Indian River and the Atlantic Ocean in order that said <br />boundary line shall be the center of the Sebastian Inlet. <br />
