• <br /> es0 <br /> 40 <br /> RE OLUTION NO. <br /> WHEREAS, by the passing of Edward M. Benton on April 23, • <br /> 1955, the County of Indian River suffered a great loss; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Edward M. Becton gave many years of his life to <br /> the betterment of Indian River County in his untiring work in the <br /> j furtherance of the mosquito control program in our area; and, <br /> Y WHEREAS, Edward M. Becton was instrumental in causing the <br /> State Department of Health, State of Florida, to establish a <br /> permanent arthropod research center in Indian River County, <br /> Florida; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Edward M. Beaton during his lifetime, gave of his <br /> knowledge and service in assisting the arthropod control program <br /> in the entire State of Florida; NOW THEREFORE, <br /> • BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of <br /> Indian River County, Florida, that the members of this Board <br /> individually, and the citizens of Indian River County, Florida, <br /> are deeplygrieved bythe <br /> passing of Edward M. Becton and that this <br /> Board does herewith extend to the members of the family of Edward S <br /> M. Benton, its expression of sincere sympathy. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be <br /> forwarded to the State Department of Health, State of Florida, <br /> with the request that an appropriate memorial to the memory of <br /> Edward M.
