To: Board of County Commissioners, <br />Indian River County, Florida. <br />The undersigned Adelaide T. Zeuch, Warren T. Zeuch, Frederic <br />E. Zeuch and Katherine Z. Forster, do herewith petition and certify under <br />oath to iLq Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, <br />as follows, to -wit: <br />That H. J. Zeuch & Co., a Florida corporation, was the record fee <br />simple owner of the following described property, situated in Indian River <br />County, Florida, to -wit: <br />The West half of the South half of the North half of the <br />Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 24, <br />Township 33 South, Range 39 East; <br />from the year 1927 until the title to said lands became vested in Indian River <br />County, Florida, under and by virtue of a foreclosure of tax certificates,, <br />instituted by said County in the Circuit Court in and for Indian River Qounty, <br />Florida, in Chancery No. 2398. <br />That said County did, under date of January 31, 1952, convey said <br />lands after public sale to J. Douglas Baker and Marion Baker, his wife. That <br />a question has arisen as to the validity of said sale by said County due to the <br />fact that the said J. Douglas Baker is the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian <br />River County, Florida, and as such Clerk made said sale for and upon behalf <br />of said County. <br />That subsequently, the said J. Douglas Baker and wife conveyed said <br />lands to Vero Beach Home Lands, Inc., a. Florida corporation, who subse- <br />quently conveyed the same to Country and Town Investment Company, Inc., <br />a New Jersey corporation authorized to do business in the State of Florida, <br />who now claim to own said lands. <br />That the said 1-1. J. Zeuch & Co., acting by and through a majority <br />of its Trustees, have agreed to sell and convey said lands to said Country and <br />Town Investment Company, Inc., In the event the same are conveyed by said <br />County to the Trustees of said 1-1.
