The following Resolution was read by Sherman N. Smith, Jr. and upon Motion <br />i <br />of CoOmissioner Robert W. Graves, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried <br />was adopted: <br />R E S O L U T I O N <br />WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 21310, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1941, <br />The board of County Commissioners'of Indian River County, Florida, has set up and established <br />a Comprehensive zoning plan governing all of the area in said County not within the incor- <br />.. porated limits or any municipality therein; Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida: <br />1. That this Board does herewith designate the Superintendent of Public Roads <br />as the employee of this Board to enforce the provisions of said Chapter 21310, Laws of Florida, <br />Acts of 1941, and to enforce the provisions of the zoning regulations heretofore adopted <br />by this Board. <br />2. When any owner, authorized agent or contractor desires to construct, en- <br />large, alter or change the occupancy of a building or structure which is regulated by said <br />zoning resolution or to cause any such work to be done, he shall first make an application <br />to the Superintendent of Public Roads and obtain the required permit therefor. <br />3. Ordinary minor repe:.rs may be made with the approval of the superintendt .4 <br />of Public Roads without a permit, provided that such repairs shall not violate any of the <br />provisions of said zoning resolution. <br />4. Every application for a permit with the required fee shall be filed with <br />the Superintendent of Public Roads on a form furnished by him and shall contain a general <br />description of the proposed work and its location. The application shall be signed by the <br />owner or his authorized agent. <br />5. Each application for a permit shall indicate the proposed use and occupancy <br />of all parts of the building and of that portion of the site or lot, if any, not covered by <br />the building or structure, and shall contain a statement of the square foot area of the <br />building or structure and the square foot area of the site or lot and the actual estimated <br />costs of the construction of said building or structure and shall contain such other infor- <br />mation as may be required by the Superintendent of Public (toads. <br />6. There shall be attached to the application and made a part thereof a plot <br />diagram showing the location of the proposed building or structure and of every existing <br />building or structure on the site or lot. The plot plan shall be to scale and of such size as the <br />Superintendent of Public Roads shall require and the plot plan shall show the boundaries of <br />the lot or site and shall shown any and all adjoinini; streets, alleys, easements or public <br />ways and shall show the distance from the outer limits of said building to the outer limits <br />of said lot or building site. <br />7. Each application for a permit and the plot plan and other items attached <br />thereto shall be submitted in duplicate. / <br />8.
