Said street <br />1 intersection sign must have a white background and black lettering and border <br />with the lettering and border reflectorized. <br />• <br />5. All plats shall be first submitted in duplicate for tentative approval <br />and plats submitted for tentative approval shall be drawn on a drawing 24 inches <br />by 30 inches. When tentative approval is given it shall be so endorsed on both <br />copies and the County shall retain one copy and the proposed subdivider shall <br />j retain one copy. <br />6• In every instance In which the property being platted borders on the <br />Indian River or the Sebastian River or upon any finger, bay or channel there- <br />from, then the elevation of the land as it exists or the elevation of the land as <br />I it shall exist in its finished condition shall be shown on the tentative plat. All <br />elevations shall be from United States Coast and Geodetic Datum, mean sea <br />level of the waters opposite the lands proposed to be platted. Prior to final <br />li <br />i approval of any plat if any part of said lands borders upon the narrows of the <br />Indian River and is below an elevation of 5 feet, then the land shall be filled to <br />an elevation of 5 feet. On such lands other than those bordering upon the <br />narrows of the Indian River, the same shall be filled to a minimum elevation <br />(! of 4 1/2 feet. If a finger type of development is proposed, then the open river <br />end of each finger shall be bulkheaded to a minimum elevation of 5 feet with a <br />sloping or stepdown if desired of the bulkhead from the open river end inland <br />to a minimum elevation of 3 1/2 feet at the inland end. Where the bulkhead is <br />lI less than 5 feet in elevation, then the ground elevation shall slope upward on a <br />i <br />short slope on an even grade to an elevation of S feet. In such finger type <br />i <br />development, road rights of ways shall be of a minimum width of 60 feet and <br />I <br />channels or canals separating each finger shall be of a minimum width of 80 <br />(i <br />j feet. <br />II <br />7, 1f deep ditches are located in or alongside roadways, they shall be <br />of a sufficient distance from the travelway portion of the road in order to main- <br />tain a natural and gradual side slope and an adequate width for shoulders for <br />-2- <br />MITCHELL.
