RESOLUTION <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida, that this Board does herewith find and determine that <br />this Board has been presented with a petition signed by more than five per <br />cent of the resident freeholders of Indian River County, Florida, asking that <br />an annual tax may be levied for the establishment and maintenance of a public, <br />i <br />hospital located at Vero Beach, Florida, and which said petition did specify <br />the sum of $750, 000. OU as the maximum amount of money proposed to be <br />expended in purchasing or building said hospital; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Board does herewith determine <br />that it shall submit the question as to whether or not bonds in an amount not <br />to exceed $750, 000.00 shall be issued by the County to provide funds for the <br />purchase and the erection of a public hospital and for the support of the same, <br />which bonds shall be payable within thirty (30) years and whether or not a tax <br />s <br />In an amount not to exceed five mills shall be levied upon the assessed prop- <br />i' <br />erty of Indian River County, Florida, for the support of a public hospital, <br />which said question shall be submitted to the qualified electors of Indian <br />River County, Florida, who are freeholders at the next general election to <br />be held in this County, to -wit: On November 4, 1958; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of such election shall be <br />given at least thirty (30) days prior to the date of said election in the Vero <br />Beach Press Journal, a newspaper of general circulation published in this <br />County, which notice shall include the text of said petition and state the <br />amount of the tax to be levied upon the assessed property of this County, <br />which tax shall not exceed five mills on the dollar; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said election shall be held at the <br />usual places in this County for voting upon County officers and shall be can- <br />vassed in the same manner as the vote for County officers is canvassed; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the ballots to be used in said elect- <br />ion at which such hospital question is submitted shall be printed with a <br />statement substantially as follows: <br />II <br />�k MITCHELL, SMITH 6 MITCHELL, ATTORNEYS AT LAW, VERO BEACH, FLORIDA <br />
