Families <br />are provided with safe, clean shelter, food and services to help them gain stability and self- <br />sufficiency. Adults go through financial literacy training, budgeting, support for employment, and <br />once employed save 75% of their net income for permanent housing. Children are enrolled in <br />appropriate schooling, day care, after school, summer, winter, and spring break camps. While <br />living at the shelter, case management works with adults to attain financial and housing goals, <br />and children for behavioral, emotional and academic support. We work directly with community <br />agencies to lead families to needed supportive services. We have expanded the children's <br />program, now that the Reading Resource Center is completed. The room is manned every <br />evening by a learning coach so that children can work on homework assignments, read quietly, <br />or young children can be read to. The learning coach is also available to tutor children who need <br />extra support. The expanded program is managed by the Associate Executive Director. <br />The projected number of unduplicated children to be served is one hundred sixty-two (162) and <br />ninety-eight (98) adults. <br />
