The goal: <br />educate and empower for self-improvement. <br />The afterschool and summer programs are designed to help educate children while ensuring their <br />safety, and is for at -risk youth ages 5-18. The program is evidenced based and high quality; we <br />1) focus on specific goals to increase academic attainment; 2) include academic content such as <br />reading, math, and writing throughout our program; 3) assist our children and youth to foster <br />positive peer interactions and healthy adult relationships; 4) promote creative opportunities in the <br />form of arts and crafts, music, and drama; and 5) families are welcomed and encouraged to be <br />actively involved in community building events, fundraising, and program development. Several <br />of our academic programs provide pre and post assessment to ensure quality, and identify <br />individual needs in students. Regular operating hours during the school year: M -F, 9am-6pm, and <br />during summer: M -F, 7am-5pm. <br />The projected number of unduplicated children to be served is seventy-five (75). <br />
