We provide <br />comprehensive support services to our participants who have been chosen through an <br />admissions process. These services include academic enrichment, life -skill instruction, <br />familiarization with college, financial literacy instruction, mentoring, community <br />involvement, and engagement with the family for students grades 9-12. This program is <br />an adaptation of Achievers in Action that has been around in the school district since 1985 <br />which started at Vero Beach High School. <br />Purpose Driven Youth (PDY) staff will offer a summer bridge program that focuses on <br />creating high-quality educational resumes, volunteer opportunities and college -career <br />research. This includes a work readiness training module of key business -focus areas to <br />prepare students for their work ready certification. During the school year, the program <br />will offer whole group workshops, individualized meetings, phone/zoom calls and home <br />visits to meet the needs of the participants' families. Summer hours are Monday, <br />Wednesdays and Fridays 4-7pm for group workshops/meetings, one group volunteer <br />activity per month however students are encouraged to volunteer weekly, an optional bi- <br />monthly Sunday evening session will be offered from 5-7pm. During the academic year, <br />hours are flexible based on student's schedules and needs. Workshops/Tutoring sessions <br />will be held at our office location or by Zoom if necessary. <br />The projected number of unduplicated children to be served is twenty-five (25). <br />
