These dollars will be utilized for post <br />event grants/sponsorship, bid fees, administrative costs and destination marketing to attract sporting events <br />that will increase tourist development tax collections, occupancy for hotels and restaurants, facility rental <br />fees plus provide a positive economic impact within Indian River County. Participants and spectators will <br />spend dollars on room accommodations, food/beverage, shopping, gas, etc that will increase sales tax <br />revenue, tourist tax and business revenue. Some of the sports scheduled are: Aquatics, Pickleball, Karate, <br />Gymnastics, Golf, Rowing, Baseball, Softball, Boys/Girls Soccer and Lacrosse. <br />The Treasure Coast Sports Commission is the recognized Sports Tourism Management and Marketing <br />Organization for the Treasure Coast Region and has a successful track record of attracting sporting events <br />to the Treasure Coast plus tracking its impact.
