Name: Heather Stapleton Title: Executive Director tsnet aescnption Or the Program Tor wnicn Tunding is requested: Grant funds are requested for advertising costs to promote the Heritage Center & Indian River Citrus Museum. This grant will be used to continue marketing and enhancing the presence of the Heritage Center and the Indian River Citrus Museum, as well as expanding the education message. In particular, Vero Heritage is expanding its Vero Heritage Citrus Label Tour (the outdoor tour) to include more signs and a mobile, web based map of the tour. Vero Heritage will also enlarge and enhance the authentic citrus label exhibit collection inside the museum. Fewer museum guests have enabled staff and volunteers to conduct informal guest surveys, and the stats surrounding the label collection are telling. A significant portion of guests: • visit the museum because of the label collection • find the label collection one of the more interesting exhibits • spend more time looking at the label collection Finally, this grant also covers a portion of the salary for operations staff, including a part-time staff member who works with visitors at the museum and with those utilizing the building for community events.
