Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes — Final September 21, 2021 <br />8. CONSENT AGENDA <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman O'Bryan, seconded by Commissioner Adams, <br />to approve the Consent Agenda as amended, pulling Item 8.D. for discussion. The <br />motion carried by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5- Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Earman, and Commissioner Moss <br />8.A. 21-0802 Quarterly OPEB Trust Report for the Quarter Ending 06/30/2021 <br />Recommended Action: Accept the report. <br />Attachments: Investment Committee OPEB Report <br />Accepted <br />8.B. 21-0803 Quarterly Investment Report for the Quarter Ending 06/30/2021 <br />Recommended Action: Accept the report. <br />Attachments: Investment Committee Report <br />Accepted <br />8.C. 21-0804 Dori Slosberg Driver Education Safety Act - Indian River County Traffic Education <br />Program Trust Fund Report - Cumulative Reporting through 06/30/2021 <br />Recommended Action: Accept the report. <br />Attachments: Finance Department Staff Report <br />Accepted <br />8.D. 21-0805 Quarterly Tourist Development Tax Report for the Quarter Ending 06/30/2021 <br />Recommended Action: Accept the report. <br />Attachments: Finance Department Staff Report <br />Jeffrey R. Smith, Clerk of the Court and Comptroller, reported an upward trend in <br />short-term rentals and hotel stays in the last quarter which ended June 30, 2021. <br />He also informed that his staffs recently -implemented audits returned more than <br />$700,000 in new taxes. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman O'Bryan, seconded by Commissioner Earman, <br />to accept the Quarterly Tourist Development Tax Report for the quarter which ended <br />June 30, 2021.
