40 <br />RESOLUTION JA) -I � <br />• WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that the <br />placing of jetties, groins and other structures in the ocean has <br />created serious problems due to erosion and otherwise; and <br />WREREAS, the Trustees of the Internal improvement Fund <br />of the State of Florida require a State permit prior to allowing <br />the construction of jetties, groins and other coastal structures <br />in the ocean waters: <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- <br />missioners of Indian River County, Florida, that they respectfully <br />request the Trustees of the Internal improvement Fund of the State <br />of Florida to notify the Board of County Commissioners upon the <br />application made for the placing of any jetties, groins or other <br />coastal structures in the public waters; and further respectfully <br />request that no permit be granted without notice to this Board. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Reso- <br />lution be forwarded to the Trustees of the Internal Improvement <br />Fund of the State of Florida, and a copy be forwarded to the U.
