BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />CHARLOTTE COUNT[ <br />RESOLUTION <br />' `7 <br />WHEREAS, the State of Florida has become more prosperous and enjoyable through <br />the control of pestiferous and disease -vectoring mosquitoes and other <br />arthropods, and <br />WHEREAS, the control of such pestiferous and disease -vectoring mosquitoes and <br />other arthropods must necessarily depend on adequate funds to generate <br />a complete control program, and <br />WHEREAS, the successful control of mosquitoes and other pestiferous and disease - <br />vectoring arthropods require both state and local cooperation, and <br />WHEREAS, the economic results to the entire State of Florida are tantamount to <br />the effectiveness of the local control programs, NOW THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commission, Charlotte County, Florida <br />at their regular meeting this 16 day of February, 1965 express great <br />concern for, and recommend that increased state aid be appropriated <br />to more equitably share the costs of the various local mosquito con- <br />trol programs of the State of Florida and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an appeal is hereby made for the immediate recognition <br />of this need for increased state aid, and that the Chairman of the Hoard <br />Of County Commiseioners, Charlotte County Florida submit copies of this <br />resolution to the following: <br />The State Association of County Commissioners <br />The Chairman of all Hoard of County Commissioners <br />The State Budget Commission <br />The Chairman of all Mosquito Control District Boards <br />of Commissioners <br />The Legislative Representatives of Charlotte County <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />T.
