Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final November 2, 2021 <br />of Retainage and Change Order No. 1 IRC -1927 <br />Recommended action: Staff recommends approval of Change Order No. 1 and payment of Contractor's <br />Application for Payment No. 4 to Dickerson Florida, LLC in the amount of <br />$13,385.50 for final payment and release of retainage. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Change Order No. 1 <br />Approved staffs recommendation <br />8.N. 21-1006 Tri -County Guiding Principles and Joint Thank You Letter <br />Recommended action: Staff recommends that the BCC approve the Tri -County Guiding Principles and <br />draft thank you letter, authorize the Chair to sign the letter, and send it to the <br />Governor. <br />Attachments: Staff Memo - Tri -County <br />TriCounty Guiding Principles <br />Thank You Letter for IRL Wastewater Funding <br />Governor DeSantis Press Release <br />County Administrator Jason Brown discussed details about the Tri -County Meeting, <br />which was held on October 26, 2021. He made mention that following the <br />meeting a thank you letter had been drafted on behalf of Indian River, Martin, and <br />St. Lucie Counties, to be signed by the Chairman and sent to Governor Ron <br />DeSantis. Administrator Brown added that he had received a correspondence from <br />State Senator Gayle Harrell regarding her desire to lead an advisory task force to <br />address the need for a new 19th Judicial Circuit Medical Examiner's facility. <br />Vice Chairman O'Bryan commented that Senator Harrell had inquired about him <br />being the task force representative from Indian River County; his fellow <br />Commissioners did not object to Vice Chairman O'Bryan being appointed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Moss, seconded Commissioner Earman, to <br />approve staffs recommendation, and to appoint Vice Chairman O'Bryan to represent <br />the County on the Advisory Task Force, led by State Senator Gayle Harrell, for a new <br />Medical Examiner facility. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5- Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Earman, and Commissioner Moss <br />9.
