RESOLUTION N0. 67-2 <br />WHEREAS, this Board recognized that there is an acute <br />need for improved out-patient psychiatric services to the residents <br />of the four county area (Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. <br />Lucie) and that this need can only be accomplished by comprehensive <br />effort for expansion of the present out-patient facilities; Now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Indian River County, Florida, that it will participate in the pro- <br />posed four county area COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM <br />and will participate in the operation and staffing of a new out- <br />patient clinic to be located in Fort Pierce, Florida, and will provide <br />in addition to the current contribution of $12,000.00 to the out- <br />patient facility (Indian River Mental Health Clinic) now provided <br />in the State Board of Health levy, an additional contribution of <br />$11,600.00 for additional staffing and operation, and will continue <br />to participate in the Comprehensive Community McAtal Health Program, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies of this <br />Resolution be forwarded to R. C. Eaton, M. D. Director, Community <br />Services, Division of Mental Health, 124 West Pensacola Street, <br />Tallahassee, Florida 32301; Mr. John Award, Cortuiiunity Services, <br />Division of Mental Health, 124 West Pensacola Street, Tallahassee, <br />Florida 32301; and Mrs. Tann Sloan, Indian River Area Counsel for <br />Mental Health, 1209 Texas Court, Tort Pierce, Florida. <br />M0K 10 Ep.tV ) <br />
