Davis, P.E <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Consultant Selection - Design of Park Improvement for Gifford, Hobart, <br />West Wabasso, and Fellsmere Parks <br />DATE: September 5, 1995 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />"After proper publication of a notice to consultants stating that the County was <br />receiving proposals for architectural/engineering design services for the design of <br />the subject parks, the County received proposals from the following firms: <br />Creech Engineering, Inc. - Stuart & Palm City, Fl. <br />Culpepper and Terpening, Inc. - Ft. Pierce <br />Edlund and Dritenbas Architects - Vero Beach <br />Williams, Hatfield, & Stoner, Inc.- Pt' St. Lucie <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />On Friday, Sept. 1, 1995, the appointed selection committee, composed of Jim <br />Davis, Public Works Director, Pat Callahan, Recreations Directionand Jim <br />Romanek, Parks Supt, reviewed the submittals. s <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />The following prioritized list is recommended: <br />1) Edlund & Dritenbas Architects, Inc. <br />2) Culpepper & Terpening, Inc. <br />3) Williams, Hatfield & Stoner, Inc. <br />Staff recommends authorization to begin contract negotiations with the first <br />ranked firm. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously <br />authorized contract negotiations to begin with the <br />first ranked firm, Edlund & Dritenbas Architects, <br />Inc. <br />29 <br />SEPTEMBER 12, 1995 <br />
