r M <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89 - 74 <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING AND SELLING $5,900,000 <br />AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF GENERAL <br />OBLIGATION BONDS, SERIES 1989, OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA, AT PUBLIC SALE BY COMPETITIVE <br />BIDS, TO THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER THEREFOR; <br />AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING CERTAIN TERMS OF SAID <br />BONDS; RATIFYING THE DISTRIBUTION OF A <br />PRELIMINARY OFFICIAL STATEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION AND DISTRIBUTION OF AN OFFICIAL <br />STATEMENT IN CONNECTION WITH THE MARKETING OF <br />SAID BONDS; AUTHORIZING ALL OTHER NECESSARY, <br />DESIRABLE AND/OR APPROPRIATE ACTIONS IN <br />CONNECTION WITH THE SALE, ISSUANCE AND DELIVERY <br />OF SAID BONDS; APPOINTING A PAYING AGENT AND <br />BOND REGISTRAR FOR SAID BONDS; AND SPECIFYING <br />THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida (the "Board" and the "County", respectively), <br />by Resolution No. 86-41 and Resolution No. 89-62, duly adopted on <br />July 16, 1986 and June 27, 1989, respectively, heretofore <br />authorized the issuance of General Obligation Bonds, Series 1989, <br />of the County in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed <br />$5,900,000 (the "Bonds"); <br />WHEREAS,. the County has determined that the Bonds be sold <br />at public sale by competitive bids; <br />WHEREAS, the County has published a notice of said sale <br />at least ten (10) days prior to the date of said sale, July 18, <br />1989, in one or more newspaper or financial journals published <br />within or without the State of Florida; <br />RESOLUTION 89-74 WITH ATTACHMENTS IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD IN ITS ENTIRETY. <br />Mr. Diamond advised that the closing will be on July 27th <br />and introduced Clark Bennett of William R.
