BOOK 96 PAGE 71 <br />TRANSPORTATION FUND <br />Administrator.Chandler announced that there is no millage for <br />the Transportation Fund and that the proposed budget for 1995-96 is <br />$9,376,511 which is an increase of $743,878 or 8.62% over the <br />current budget of $8,632,633. Administrator Chandler explained <br />that there is no millage rate associated with the Transportation <br />Fund, but we include that within the ad valorem tax budget category <br />since 66% of the expense is funded from the General Fund and the <br />M.S.T.U. The departmental expense is 62% of the total increase. <br />The areas comprising most of the increase are materials costs, <br />salary reserve, vehicle replacements, and health insurance <br />adjustments. The Transportation Fund includes Public Works, <br />Engineering, Traffic Engineering, and Road & Bridge. No additional <br />positions are proposed. <br />Chairman Macht opened the Public Hearing on the Transportation <br />Fund and asked if anyone wished to be heard. There being none, he <br />closed the Public Hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 95-108, approving a budget for the <br />Transportation Fund in the amount of $9,376,511 for <br />fiscal year 1995-96. <br />14 <br />September 14, 1995 <br />
