Prado, Assistant County Attorney <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Dylan Reingold - County Attorney <br />DATE: January 31, 2022 <br />ATTORNEY <br />RE: Permission to Advertise for Public Hearing for Amendment to <br />Section 100.03(4) of the Indian River County Code, Codifying and <br />Publishing the Ordinances to Readopt the Code as Published by <br />the Municipal Code Corporation <br />Section 125.68, Florida Statutes requires that each county maintain a current <br />codification of all ordinances, which must be published annually by the Board of <br />County Commissioners. Once codified, the Code is the best evidence of the <br />current law of the County. The Code is codified through adoption of an <br />ordinance; adoption of the ordinance must be preceded by public hearing. <br />FUNDING: The only cost associated with this item is the advertising cost for the <br />public hearing which is estimated to be no more than $150.00 and is available <br />from General Fund/County Attorney/Legal Ads; Account No. 00110214-034910. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: Authorize staff to advertise for a public hearing on <br />March 1, 2022 to amend Section 100.03(4) of the Indian River County Code. <br />43 <br />
