RESOLUTION NO. 68- 24 <br />E <br />i <br />j The Board of County Commissioners of Indian [fiver County, <br />l <br />Florida, resolves: <br />t <br />1. That pursuant to a Notice of a public hearing published in the <br />Vero Beach Press journal, a -newspaper of general circulation in Indian River <br />County, Florida, on March 21, 1968, this Board did hold a publichearing and -' <br />did there provide: an opportunity for residents and organizations in Indian <br />River County, Florida, to publicly express their views on the question of <br />designiating a Community Action Agency under the 'provisions of Sections 210 <br />and 211 of the Economic Opportunity Act as amended in 1907 by the Congress <br />of the United States, at which time a reasonable opportunity to be heard and <br />to submit written comments were given to all. That the notice of the hearing <br />did clearly indicate that the question of designation of a Cornnrnntrrnity Action <br />Agency would be considered :and diel indicate, the tentative decision of this <br />Board already made on the question and than at least ten (10) days before the <br />hearinga copy of the notice was nnaniled to the existing Community Action <br />Agency currently serving the area and to each current delegate agency of any <br />such existing C:otnniun ty Action Apncy and to each neighborhood based <br />organization under the C.A.A. <br />2,. That after conducting .said public hcaring, this Hoard does <br />hcrcwith designate the existing Community Action Agenty, the: Economic <br />Opportunities Council of Indian River County, 171oridan, hnc. , a Florida cor- <br />poration not for profit, as the: Community Action Agency to serve the: arca of <br />Indian River County, Florida, <br />3. That copies of the: notice with proof of publication, the rininutes ' <br />of the: public hearing and all written statements or comments received in con- <br />nection with the meeting or hearing shall be. retained and made available to the <br />Office of Economic Opportunity on request, <br />4.
