Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final April 5, 2022 <br />15.B.3. 22-0264 Procurement of a High Pressure Skid System <br />Recommended Action: Solid Waste Disposal District (SWDD) staff recommends that its Board <br />approve the following: a) Waive the requirement for bids to fabricate the high <br />pressure skid system; b) Approve the agreement with Biogas Engineering to <br />fabricate the high pressure skid system for a not -to -exceed cost of $789,000 and <br />delivery in 35 weeks from notice to proceed; c) Authorize the Chairman to <br />execute the same, after final terms and conditions have been approved by the <br />County Attorney; and, d) Authorize payments as detailed in Section XI of the <br />agreement <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />KHA Evaluation Memo <br />BGE Fabrication Agreement <br />Managing Director of the Solid Waste Disposal District Himanshu Mehta <br />provided information on the project in response to Commissioner Adams' <br />request. Director Mehta described the upgrade to a high pressure gas control <br />system which would be used in the leachate evaporation and renewable natural <br />gas projects. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman Earman, seconded by Commissioner <br />Flescher, to approve staffs recommendation. The motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />Aye: 5- Chairman O'Bryan, Vice Chairman Earman, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Flescher, and Commissioner Moss <br />153.4. 22-0265 Final Pay to Geosyntec for Work Order No. 3 - Phase I Redevelopment for <br />South Gifford Road Landfill <br />Recommended Action: Solid Waste Disposal District staff recommends that its Board: a) Approve <br />Geosyntec's final invoice amount of $19,809.66; and, b) Direct the funding of <br />this project in a future Capital Improvement Element fund under the direction <br />of the Parks and Recreation Department and Public Works Department <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Geosyntec Project Completion Report & Final Invoice <br />There was no discussion regarding this item. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman Earman, seconded by Commissioner <br />Flescher, to approve staffs recommendation.
