Homer Fletcher, County Tax Assessor appeared before the Board <br />a and reported that the Board of Equalization would now consist of <br />two members of the School Board and three members of the Board of <br />40 County commissioners. <br />On a Motion made by commissioner Mccullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Massey, the following Resolution was unanimously <br />adopted: <br />R E S O L U T I O N 7 0- 2 0 <br />WHEREAS, Homer Fletcher, Indian River County Tax Assessor, <br />has made a request to this Board for the right to restrict public <br />inspection of public records hei,1 i:i his office co the hours <br />8:00 A. M. - 1:00 P. M., June 1, 1970 Lo' the date the Board of <br />Equalization meets in July, 1970, and <br />WHEREAS, Homer Fletcher has stated that this request is <br />made to insure completion of the 1970 tax roll and <br />WIiE:REAS, the Tax Assessor's chief function and greatest <br />responsibility is to prepare the tax roll <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County that the public's right <br />to inspect public records in the Indian River County Tax Assessor's <br />Office is restricted to the hours of 8:00 A. M. to 1:00 P. M. <br />June 1, 1970 to the date the Board of Equalization meets in <br />July, 1970. <br />
