<br />SUBJECT: ORDINANCE DETERMINING EMPLOYEE - INDEPENDENT
<br />CONTRACTOR STATUS
<br />The proposed ordinance provides for the establishment of criteria for
<br />determining the status of employees and independent contractors.
<br />Recommendation: Staff has reviewed the ordinance and requests
<br />permission to advertise it for a public hearing to be held on November
<br />7, 1995.
<br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by
<br />Commissioner Bird, the Board by a 4-0 vote
<br />(Commissioner Eggert being absent) scheduled a
<br />public hearing for November 7, 1995 at 9:05 a.m. to
<br />consider proposed ordinance determining
<br />employee/independent contractor status.
