100-200 Mbps symmetrical over a 1.5 -mile radius from a 140 -foot monopole tower. <br />The platform is very flexible so they are looking outside distance learning for <br />applications their system might support. <br />Data Center LLC <br />Magellan Advisors spoke with Data Center LLC's chairman and technical resource. <br />The company is building a data center in Fort Piece which will be a 4th or 51h vertical <br />to connect other data centers. They are working with FPUAnet Communications, <br />Fort Pierce Utility Authority's internet service, on a coop arrangement. Data Center <br />LLC does not want to be in the telecom business. Rather, Data Center LLC wants to <br />rent space to ISPs through a maintenance contract or public/private partnership <br />which could help expand broadband services throughout the county and region. <br />Data Center LLC sees providing co -location services as a way of lowering transport <br />and operations cost for local ISPs. Data Center LLC also has some interest in an <br />open access wireless network, with multiple players and multiple spectrums. If they <br />had enough towers in place, they could cover a one -hundred -mile radius rather <br />quickly. They have finished the permitting process with St. Lucie County and have <br />discussed a county consortium project. They see a potential partnership with the <br />counties with the objective to get the counties to give a commitment of presence. <br />Service Providers <br />Various service providers were interviewed in order to understand current <br />infrastructure, expansion plans and opportunities to support higher -speed and <br />more reliable broadband options for Indian River County residents and businesses <br />in partnership with the with the County. <br />AT&T <br />Magellan Advisors met with representatives from AT&T in August of 2021. During <br />the conversation with AT&T representatives, AT&T shared that they are migrating <br />away from all DSL products and this should be complete by 2023. They are pushing <br />fiber deployments. They noted that they needed to speak with their External Affairs <br />group prior to sharing any proprietary mapping or expansion information. Since <br />the previous conversation, Magellan has not had responses from AT&T. <br />Verizon <br />Magellan Advisors met with representatives from Verizon in August of 2021.
