RESOLUTION 70-36 <br />40 <br />WHEREAS, the General Service Administration has accepted Indian <br />® River County's offer of Purchase for a Public Park or Public <br />Recreation Purposes for the 1.21 acre surplus portion of the <br />• Vero Beach Tracking Annex, Indian River County, Florida by letter <br />of GSA dated August 10, 1970, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the continued policy of the Indian River County <br />Board of Commissioners to acquire ocean frontage property for <br />public park and recreational purposes to meet future population <br />needs, and <br />WHEREAS, there existing Federally owned land both to the north <br />and south of this offered site, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Indian River County Board <br />of Commissioners does hereby direct the Planning Director of the <br />Indian River County - Vero Beach Planning Commission to take <br />necessary steps of inquiring for the purpose of acquiring the <br />remaining Federally owned properties comprising the Vero Beach <br />Tracking Annex. <br />Passed this 19th day of August, 1970. <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />Indian River County <br />/ Chairman <br />
