Project Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Amendment 1 to Work Order No. MM -2, Moorhen Marsh Low Energy <br />Aquatic Plant System (LEAPS) <br />IRC -2107 <br />DATE: September 28, 2021 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION <br />On June 8, 2021, Work Order No. MM -2 to Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. was approved bythe Board <br />of County Commissioners in the amount of $67,185 for construction services pertaining to the facility's <br />structural components. The purpose of Amendment No. 1 is for the expanded level of effort needed to <br />review the facility's specialized mechanical equipment and its integration to ensure proper operations. <br />This Amendment for a Not -to -Exceed amount of $25,580, brings the total for Work Order No. MM -2 to <br />$92,765. <br />FUNDING <br />Funding is available from Optional Sales Tax/Public Works/CIP-Moorhen Marsh -PC North, Acct <br />#31524338-066510-16018. <br />Funding Source Amount <br />Optional Sales Tax/Public Works/CIP-Moorhen Marsh -PC North, Acct <br />#31524338-066510-16018 <br />$25,580.00 <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of Amendment No. 1 to Work Order No. MM -2 with Kimley-Horn and <br />Associates, Inc. authorizing the professional se.rvices as outlined in the Scope of Work and authorize the <br />Chairman to execute Amendment No. 1 to Work Order No. MM -2 on their behalf for a Not -to -Exceed <br />amount of $25,580. <br />ATTACHMENT <br />Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc.
