RESOLUTION NO. 71-10 <br />® A RESO1.'JTION EIS DOPSING THE <br />CONCEPT 01' FEDU'AL RLVENUE <br />SHARING AND ENCOURAGING EARLY <br />CONGRESSIOl\lAL ACTION ON ENACT - <br />s MENT OF A FEDERAL PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, it is becoming increasingly difficult for City, County, and State <br />Government to provide necessary services with revenues currently available, and <br />WHEREAS, the primary source of revenue for governmental purposes is the Federal <br />Income Tax levied and collected by the Federal Government, and <br />WHEREAS, the current administration at the Federal Government level has proposed <br />a Federal Revenue Sharing Program to assist local governments in the provision of services; <br />NOW, THEREFORE,' BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Indian River ___. County, Florida, in regular session assembled this 24th day of <br />Fphrlarg , 1971, that it does hereby strongly endorse the principle of Federal <br />Revenue Sharing and encourages the Ninoty-Second Congress to enact legislation estab- <br />lishing such a prograrn at the earliest opportunity. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner —Alma Lee Loy � <br />who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Ed Massey , <br />and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: <br />Richard BoRosian Yea <br />Alma Lee Loy - Yea <br />Jack Dritenbas - Yea <br />Lddyyard Massed ' Yea <br />D.
