Division 1— General Requirements, IRC -1639 <br />1.5 CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SUBMITTAL OF SHOP DRAWINGS, PRODUCT DATA <br />ANn cOnApl FC <br />A. The CONTRACTOR's responsibilities for submittal of shop drawings, product data, <br />and samples are set forth in paragraph 6.17 of the General Conditions and as <br />further explained herein. <br />B. Prior to submission, thoroughly check shop drawings, product data, and samples <br />for completeness and for compliance with the Contract Documents, verify all <br />dimensions and field conditions, and coordinate the shop drawings with the <br />requirements for other related work. Also review each shop drawing before <br />submitting it to the ENGINEER to determine that it is acceptable in terms of the <br />means, methods, techniques, sequences and operations of construction, safety <br />precautions and programs incidental thereto, all of which are the CONTRACTOR's <br />responsibility. <br />1. It is CONTRACTOR'S responsibility to review submittals made by his <br />suppliers and Subcontractors before transmitting them to ENGINEER to <br />assure proper coordination of the Work and to determine that each <br />submittal is in accordance with its desires and that there is sufficient <br />information about materials and equipment for ENGINEER to determine <br />compliance with the Contract Documents. <br />2. Incomplete or inadequate submittals will be returned for revision without <br />review. <br />C. The CONTRACTOR's responsibility for errors and omissions in submittals is not <br />relieved by the ENGINEER's review of submittals. The CONTRACTOR shall approve <br />the shop drawings based on his in -the -field measurements, prior to submittal to <br />the ENGINEER for his review. <br />D. Notify the ENGINEER, in writing at the time of submission, of deviations in <br />submittals from the requirements of the Contract Documents. The <br />CONTRACTOR's responsibility for deviations in submittals from the requirements <br />of the Contract Documents is not relieved by the ENGINEER's review of submittals, <br />unless the ENGINEER gives written acceptance of specific deviations. <br />E.
