Division 1— General Requirements, IRC -1639 <br />SECTION 01610 - TRANSPORTATION AND HANDLING OF MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT <br />1.1 GENERAL <br />A. Make all arrangements for transportation, delivery and handling of equipment and <br />materials required for prosecution and completion of the Work. <br />B. Shipments of materials to CONTRACTOR or Subcontractors shall be delivered to the site <br />only during regular working hours. Shipments shall be addressed and consigned to the <br />proper party giving name of Project, street number and city. Shipments shall not be <br />delivered to OWNER except where otherwise directed. <br />C. If necessary, to move stored materials and equipment during construction, <br />CONTRACTOR shall move or cause to be moved materials and equipment without any <br />additional compensation. <br />1.2 DELIVERY <br />A. Arrange deliveries of products in accord with construction schedules and in ample time <br />to facilitate inspection prior to installation. <br />B. Coordinate deliveries to avoid conflict with Work and conditions at site and to <br />accommodate the following: <br />1. Work of other contractors, or OWNER. <br />2. Limitations of storage space. <br />3. Availability of equipment and personnel for handling products. <br />4. OWNER'S use of premises. <br />C. Do not have products delivered to project site until related Shop Drawings have been <br />approved by the ENGINEER. <br />D. Do not have products delivered to site until required storage facilities have been <br />provided. <br />E. Have products delivered to site in manufacturer's original, unopened, labeled <br />containers. Keep ENGINEER informed of delivery of all equipment to be incorporated in <br />the Work. <br />F. Partial deliveries of component parts of equipment shall be clearly marked to identify <br />the equipment, to permit easy accumulation of parts, and to facilitate assembly. <br />G. Immediately on delivery, Contractor shall inspect shipment to assure: <br />1. Product complies with requirements of Contract Documents and reviewed <br />submittals. <br />2. Quantities are correct. <br />3. Containers and packages are intact, labels are legible. <br />4.
