RESOLUTION NO. _ 72-70 <br />• <br />WHEREAS, the City of Vero Beach, Florida, has <br />heretofore made application to the E. P.A. through the De- <br />partment of Pollution Control of the State of Florida for a <br />grant to said City in connection with the construction of <br />waste water treatment plant; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Pollution Control has <br />requested the City of Vero Beach and Indian River County to <br />enter into an agreement delineating the service areas of both <br />City and County; and <br />WHEREAS, the study for such delineation is in progress <br />but cannot be completed before the October 27,1972 deadline ; <br />imposed by the E.P.A.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY C014h1ISSI0NERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY AS FOLLOVS: <br />1. That the City Council of tine City of Vero Beach <br />and the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County <br />have begun and entered into negotiations between the two <br />bodies concerning the delineation of the service areas of the <br />two jurisdictions in connection with waste water treatment <br />and that meetings will be held not later than November 15, 1972 <br />between the two bodies to begin the serious study and determination <br />- of the delineation of such areas. <br />2. That service -area delineations and responsibilities <br />will be tentatively agreed upon between the two bodies and sub•• <br />mitted for comments to the E.P.A.and the Department of Pollutior. <br />Control by approximately January 15, 1973. <br />3. That final agreements between the City of Vero <br />Beach and Indian River County regarding the delineation of such <br />service areas will hopefully be reached and concluded by <br />October 15, 1973. <br />BE 11 FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution <br />be forwarded to the City Council of the City of Vero Beach <br />*•22- <br />
