r � � <br />November 7, 1995 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, November 7, <br />1995, at 9:00 a.m. Present were Kenneth R. Macht, Chairman; Fran <br />B. Adams, Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; Carolyn K. Eggert; and <br />John W. Tippin. Also present were James E. Chandler, County <br />Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and P. J. <br />Jones, Deputy Clerk. <br />Chairman Macht called the meeting to order and led the Pledge <br />of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Reverend Foxworth of 20th Avenue Church of God gave the <br />invocation. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Commissioner Macht requested the addition of Item 13-A-2, <br />County Administrator's remuneration discussion. <br />Commissioner Tippin requested the addition of Item 13-E, <br />discussion regarding Windsor Golf Tournament request. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously added the <br />above items to the Agenda. <br />PROCLAMATIONS - NATIONAL ADOPTION MONTH <br />Chairman Macht presented the following Proclamation to Betsy <br />Barbatelli, HRS Adoptions and Home Finders: _ _.-- <br />I'M %-,P VXUVA"FAt /� 17i7 1 DUUN ou i AuC j-Lq <br />PROC AMATION <br />WHEREAS, all children need the love, support and stability of a <br />family; and <br />WHEREAS, in the State of Florida, over 9,000 children are living <br />in substitute care away from their families of birth; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, 1,449 of these children will not return to their birth <br />families and are in need of a loving, caring adoptive <br />family; and <br />WHEREAS, nearly all of these children have special needs; <br />emotional, physical or mental disabilities, must be <br />placed as a sibling group, are of a minority race or <br />are older; and <br />/� t • /R <br />17lA7 <br />� T1 .r - tl E P- ,A A <br />I'M %-,P VXUVA"FAt /� 17i7 1 DUUN ou i AuC j-Lq <br />
