RESOLUTION No. 73-26 <br />WHEREAS, the 1972 session of the Florida Legislature failed <br />to appropriate sufficient monies to adequately fund the operation of the <br />circuit courts, county courts, state attorneys, public defenders and <br />court reporters in the various judicial circuits and counties in <br />Florida, and <br />WHEREAS, in view of this shortage of state funds, the count- <br />ies are being required to supplement the operation of such offices not- <br />withstanding the fact that when the Revised Article V of the Florida <br />Constitution was presented to the electors of the State of adoption, <br />it was represented to the Counties and the residents thereof that <br />these offices would be entirely funded by the State. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Indian River County in a meeting assembled <br />this 21st day of March, 1973, as follows: <br />1. That the Legislature of the State of Florida is hereby <br />urged and requested at the upcoming session to appropriate suffi- <br />cient monies to fully fund the operation of said offices so that the <br />counties will not be required to supplement their operation. <br />2.
