RESOLUTION <br />NO. 7=7 <br />WHEREAS, by the terms of Chapter 71-183 Laws of Florida, 1971, <br />Indian River County is authorized to appropriate funds and to enter into <br />cooperative agreements with the Department of Agriculture and Consum- <br />er Services, Division of Forestry, and <br />WHEREAS, said Deparment is authorized to provide forest rela- <br />ted assistance to counties and muncipalities, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County has determined that it is to the best interests of the county <br />to stimulate production of timber wealth and to provide for the pro- <br />tection and improvement of the beauty of urban and suburban areas, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vero Beach, Florida, <br />has expressed similar desires for the City of Vero Beach, Florida, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is to the best interest of Indian River County. Flori- <br />da, and the City of Vero Beach, Florida, to cooperate in obtaining the <br />services of a Forester and sharing the expense, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, that upon the passage of a <br />resolution by the City Council of the City of Vero Beach, Florida, <br />agreeing to enter into cooperative agreements with Indian River County, <br />and the State Division of Forestry and agreeing to share one-half of <br />the expense in obtaining and paying a Forester, not to exceed $1500. 00 <br />per year, that the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, <br />is authorized to sign on behalf of the Board of County Commission- <br />ers the required documents to obtain a Forester.
