County Administrator <br />Kevin Kirwin, Director Parks & Recreation <br />From: Beth Powell, Assistant Director Parks & Conservation Resources <br />Subject: Florida Inland Navigation District Project Agreement Amendment for #IR -18- <br />68 Oyster Bar Marsh Trail <br />DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS <br />On November 6, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners approved and executed a project grant <br />agreement with the Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) for Oyster Bar Marsh Trail Public <br />Use Improvements in its 2018-19 grant cycle. This grant provides $120,000 in cost -share funds <br />toward the public use improvements at the conservation area which are substantially complete, but <br />not approved for final payment. <br />On July 1, 2020, staff requested an extension due to project delays caused by COVID-19 and <br />subsequent, but unavoidable project delays. FIND has provided a Project Agreement Amendment <br />to extend the grant completion period through September 30, 2022. Staff anticipates that the <br />project will be completed by or before this date. <br />FUNDING <br />This is a no -cost amendment and no additional funds are necessary beyond what has been <br />previously approved by the Board of County Commissioners. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board accept the Project Agreement Amendment for #IR -18-68 Oyster Bar <br />Marsh Trail and authorize the Chairman to execute the Amendment after review and approval by <br />the County Attorney. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />• Project Agreement Amendment for #IR -18-68 Oyster Bar Marsh Trail <br />APPROVED AGENDA ITEM FOR BCC FEBRUARY 1-5. 2022 56 <br />
