BURTON are the holders <br />of Indian River County Tax Certificates Nos. 261, 262, 263, and 266 of <br />the sale of 1968, and <br />WHEREAS, the Federal District Court for the Southern Dis- <br />trict of Florida did determine in Case No. 70-1897 CivCA that the United <br />States of America owned a three-quarter (3/4) interest in the property on which <br />the above tax certificates were sold and that the United States of America <br />was not subject to taxation and said certificates are void as to the three- <br />quarters interest of the United States, and <br />WHEREAS, from the sale of said property Indian River County <br />was paid the value of one-fourth of said certificates and <br />WHEREAS, the refund of the money for said certificates leas <br />been approved by the Department of Revenue, and <br />WHEREAS, JOE L. BURTON has died and JOE M. BURTON has <br />been appointed Executor of the estate of Joe L. Burton, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County that said certificates are cancelled <br />and the Clerk of the Board shall pay to the estate of Joe L. Burton and <br />Robbie L. Burton, his widow, the total sura of One Thousand Four Hundred <br />Ninety Seven and 71/100 ($1, 497. 71) Dollars to be sent to Joe M.
