RESOLUTION NO. 2022-039 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF <br />APPLICATIONS FOR GRANT FUNDING ASSISTANCE FROM THE <br />FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION. <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is authorized to award Section 5307 <br />and Section 5339 grant funds for the implementation of a public transportation program of projects; <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County and the Senior Resource Association utilize FTA Section <br />5307 and Section 5339 funds to provide needed public transportation services within the County; and <br />WHEREAS, in applying for FTA Section 5307 and Section 5339 funds, Indian River County <br />and the Senior Resource Association will comply with all applicable federal regulations and <br />requirements associated with the Section 5307 and Section 5339 programs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: <br />That the Community Development Director or his designee is authorized to file applications <br />on behalf of Indian River County with the Federal Transit Administration to finance and <br />implement the capital and operating program of projects specified in the County's FY 2022 <br />grant application under 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5307 and 49 USC Chapter 53, Section <br />5339. <br />2. That the Chairman of the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners, the County <br />Attorney, and/or Community Development Director are authorized to execute, and the <br />Community Development Director is authorized to file with such application, an assurance or <br />any other document required by the U.S. Department of Transportation effectuating the <br />purpose of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. <br />3. That the Community Development Director or his designee is authorized to execute grant <br />agreements with the U.S. Department of Transportation to finance and implement the <br />program of projects specified in the County's FY 2022 grant application under 49 USC <br />Chapter 53, Section 5307 and 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5339. <br />4. That the County Administrator is authorized to set forth and execute necessary <br />Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) policies in connection with such application as <br />specified in the County's adopted DBE plan and in accordance with the federal requirements <br />of 49 CFR Part 26. <br />5.
