Brown, County Administrator <br />Kristin Daniels, Budget Director <br />FROM: Jennifer Hyde, Purchasing Manager <br />SUBJECT: Designation of Excess Equipment as Surplus and Disposal Authorization <br />and Reactivation of Asset 24738 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The equipment on the attached list has been determined excess to the needs of Indian River <br />County and requires disposal in accordance with Florida Statutes and Finance Policies. As <br />previously authorized by the Board, the items will be sold by online auction and funds received <br />from the sale of these items will be returned to the appropriate accounts. <br />Asset 24738, a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado (Fleet 351) was declared surplus by the Board on April <br />5, 2022, but has been requested to be reactivated and transferred to the Stormwater Division, <br />as ordering windows for new vehicles have been extremely short, with very long lead times. <br />FUNDING: <br />There is no cost to the County associated with this request. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the Board reactivate asset 24738, declare the items on the Excess List for <br />062122 Agenda as surplus, and authorize their disposal. <br />ATTACHMENT: <br />Excess List for 062122 <br />43 <br />
