Bausch has constructed similar towers for <br />municipalities in South Florida and North Carolina. <br />FUNDING: <br />Staff projected the cost of the replacement tower at $63,200 during the preparation of the <br />FY21/22 budget which is currently available in the Parks/Other Machinery and Equipment Account <br />in the Optional Sales Tax Fund, account number 31521072-066490. With rising costs for materials, <br />shipping, and services, the bid amount of $97,775 will leave a balance of $34,575 which is <br />proposed to be funded with a budget amendment from Optional Sales Tax/Cash Forward -Oct 1St. It <br />is anticipated that additional funding will be necessary to cover the demolition and removal of the <br />old lifeguard tower through regular purchasing procedures after the new tower has been <br />successfully installed. <br />111 <br />
