December 5, 1995 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, December 5, <br />1995, at 9:00 a.m. Present were Kenneth R. Macht, Chairman; Fran <br />B. Adams, Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; and John W. Tippin. <br />Commissioner Carolyn K. Eggert was absent due to illness. Also <br />present were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles P. <br />Vitunac, County Attorney; and P. J. Jones, Deputy Clerk. <br />Chairman Macht called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Elinor O'Malley of Science of Mind Center gave the <br />invocation, and Commissioner Tippin led the Pledge of Allegiance to <br />the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />County Administrator Chandler requested the addition of Item <br />11-E, discussion regarding New Horizons In -House Jail Program <br />Funding. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board by a 4-0 vote <br />(Commissioner Eggert being absent) unanimously added <br />the above item to the Agenda. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Chairman asked if there were any corrections or additions <br />to the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 14, 1995.
