`-1 <br />2/25/87(B4)LEGAL(Bnm) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87-22 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, REESTABLISHING AND EXPANDING <br />THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY MARINE ADVISORY <br />BOARD AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. <br />67-15. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is greatly affected <br />by, dependent upon and served by the Indian River Lagoon; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the <br />citizens of Indian River County to maintain, preserve and <br />enhance the natural beauty, water quality and usefulness of <br />the Indian River Lagoon as an irreplaceable natural <br />resource; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County to expand the Marine <br />Advisory Board by repealing Resolution No. 87-15 and adding <br />to the membership of the Board to accomplish the <br />above -stated objectives; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida: <br />1. Indian River County Resolution No. 87-15 is <br />hereby repealed. <br />2. The Indian River County Marine Advisory Board <br />is hereby established to consist of the following members <br />who will be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners: <br />a. A County Commissioner, who will serve as <br />Chairman of the Marine Advisory Board. <br />b. A representative of a local environmental <br />organization, such as, but not limited to, the Audubon <br />Society, the Sierra Club, or the Florida Defenders of the <br />Environment. <br />10 <br />
