Also, the County's Comprehensive Land Use Plan designates a 650 <br />acre Industrial/Commercial Node at the intersection of 1-95 and <br />C.R. 512. These 650 acres are designated for future industrial <br />and commercial development in this area which will require <br />additional major roads. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Based on the above analysis, the staff recommends approval of <br />these changes to the Thoroughfare Plan as an amendment to the <br />Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Mr. Shearer stated that on March 11, 1987 the Transportation <br />Planning Committee considered all of the amendments and they <br />voted 6-0 to recommend approval of the amendments as proposed. <br />Chairman Tippin asked if anyone wished to speak for or <br />against this item, and there was no one. <br />There being no one who wished to speak, Chairman Tippin <br />declared the public hearing closed. <br />On MOTION by Ben Bailey, SECONDED <br />by John Brenner, the Commission voted <br />5-0 to recommend to the Board of County <br />Commissioners that the Amendment to the <br />Transportation Element of the Comprehensive <br />Plan, be approved. <br />ITEM #6 - County -Initiated Request. <br />To amend the zoning ordinance to establish Residential <br />Treatment Centers as a special exception use in the CG, <br />General Commercial District. <br />Tile hour of 7:30 P.
