4/28/87.2(Reso)LECAL(Vk) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87-41 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO THE INDIAN <br />RIVER. COUNTY LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION IN OPPOSITION <br />401. TO SENATE BILL 344 BY SENATOR HILL, WHICH BILL <br />REGARDS LIBRARY FUNDING. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County provides a County -wide <br />library system; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Florida participates in the <br />funding of county -wide free public libraries through its <br />grant program; and <br />WHEREAS, Senate Bill 344 would change the funding <br />formula to the detriment of a county such as Indian River <br />County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the <br />Board respectfully requests that the Legislative Delegation <br />of the County oppose the Bill, a copy of which is attached. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by <br />Commissioner Bowman------ who moved its adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner .Wheeler ------ and, <br />upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Aye <br />Vice -Chairman Margaret C.
