APPOINTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH ADMINISTRATOR <br />- INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH UNIT - .1EAN KLINE <br />The Board reviewed a letter of December 12, 1995: <br />STATE OF FLORIDA <br />DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND REHABILITATIVE SERVICES <br />December 12, 1995 <br />The Honorable Kenneth Macht, Chairman <br />Indian River Board of County Commissioners <br />1840 25th Street <br />Vero Beach, FL 32960 <br />Dear Mr. Macht: - <br />We wish to recommend Ms. Jean Kline for the position of Public Health Administrator for the <br />Indian River County Public Health Unit. <br />Commissioner Carolyn Eggert, Dr. John Witte and myself served on the interview team and <br />selected Ms. Kline as the best qualified candidate. <br />We have also obtained approval from District 15 Health and Human Services Board Chair, Dr. <br />Jeanne Sloan and the State Health Officer, Dr. Will Blechman. <br />We all agree that Ms. Kline offers the following outstanding qualifications: <br />• Fifteen years of progressive management responsibilities <br />• Served as the day -today administrator for the past year. <br />• Strong ability and experience in developing, implementing and evaluating programs <br />and protocols in primary health care aad public health services. <br />• Abilities in negotiating, trouble -shooting public relations experience. <br />• Comprehensive knowledge of health care delivery system and health programs, <br />including medical, fiscal, budgetary and administrative aspects. <br />• Extensive involvement both at the local, district and state level for community, <br />programmatic and policy planning. <br />• Five years in developing and evaluating programs integrating both environmental <br />health and public health for epidemiology and communicable disease control. <br />We look forward to your support and concurrence with our selection.
